Can Harshal Patel solve RCB’s death bowling woes?

Harshal Patel during his 5/27 against Mumbai Indians

In the opening match of the fourteenth season of the Indian Premier League, Harshal Patel named himself in the record books by claiming the first five wicket haul against Mumbai Indians. The medium pacer was earlier traded by RCB from Delhi Capitals before the auctions. One of the most destructive batting units across all IPL seasons, RCB could still awaits their first ever IPL title win. One of the main reason being, they have been constantly falling apart with their death bowling efforts. Harshal, though not into the express pace category but he has a variety of well disguised slower balls, which makes him difficult to pick during the slog overs when the batting teams are on the attack. In his todays efforts of 5/27, he managed to knock off the most feared power hitting middle order accounting for the wickets of Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Keiron Pollard, Krunal Pandya and Trent Boult in his 4 overs quota restricting Mumbai Indians to 159/9 in their allotted 20 overs. Later RCB chased down the total in the final ball of the match in trilling finish and fittingly, Harshal hitting the winning runs. After this wonderful performance against the defending champions, the RCB camp and fans will be looking forward to him, continuing similar performances.
