Locked at 1-1 in the 4 match Test series in the Border-Gavasker Trophy, both teams are looking to get a hold on their batting unit with India being dismissed for 36 in a massive collapse helping Australia to take the lead and then Australia collapsing in both the innings of the 2nd test bringing India back to level terms.

Australia batting first in the 3rd test was looking to revive themselves with the inclusion of their ace batsman, David Warner and also with an amateur Indian bowling line up having Saini as a debutant and Siraj, who has only 1 Test under his belt.

Things did not start nicely for the Australians as Warner went back to the hut edging one from Siraj scoring only 5 runs. Debutant Will Pucovski and Marnus Labuschagne steadied the ship after a rain interrupted session. The debutant went on the score his maiden half century after being dropped twice by Indian Wicket Keeper, Rishab Pant earlier. Finally, the century partnership came to an end when Navdeep Saini picked up his maiden Test Wicket trapping Pucovski (62) in front of the stumps. Then Smith and Marnus was able to see through the days play with an unbeaten 60 run partnership with Murnus still batting at 67 and Smith at 31 in a day where only 55 overs was possible due to the rain.

Will - Marnus 100 run Partnership

Indians will be hoping to bounce back tomorrow with some early wickets but the unfortunate factor is that the new ball is available after 25 overs of the days play which is playing into the hands of the Australians a bit. But with a not so in form and inexperienced lower middle order, the Indians can cash in if they can pick up this pair early.  With the return of Rohit Sharma into the lineup, India will be hoping to get a better start from their openers than what they have received so far in the series. Let’s hope the rain stays away and don’t play a spoilsport in this test match anymore.

Looks to have covered all bases except the impact of Mitchelle Starc.   Lets have a look at how the playing XI along with the impact player is looking like, Yes, the combination may vary depe...

Over the years we have seen teams going for players who can suit their home playing conditions as they were scheduled to play 7 home matches out of 14 matches. But, the scenario changed in the last edition of the money rich league as the tournament had to be forcefully pushed to UAE due to the COVID 19 pandemic and none of the teams had the advantage of home ground. With a very little turnaround time, all franchise owners and management has been busy in shaping up their squads by releasing some and retaining most of the squad for almost most of the teams. Lets have a look at the t...

In his 26 balls innings, he smashed 12 towering sixes to go with 3 fours. The best part was that the innings was full of pure cricket shots and no slogging.
